What lies beyond the surface of a painting?
Formal Plastic Composition is an in-depth course in visual grammar, designed to develop your way of seeing and thinking at a new level. Through a structured approach, we study aesthetics and the general and specific tools of artistic expression, combining theory with hands-on practice to master compositional principles and laws.
The goal is to help you form a clear aesthetic position, strengthen your visual literacy, and gain professional tools of the modern artist. Most importantly, you’ll learn how to compose by consciously managing these tools rather than relying on intuition alone.
Together we will learn to recognise and use visual patterns, separate the plastic idea from the narrative, and work with rhythm, imagery, and association in your creative practice. The course expands your authorial repertoire by deepening your understanding of your own drawing capabilities, so you can find, refine, and develop your unique visual language with more clarity and speed.
