Via Maggio 21
Duration: from October to June
Start of training: admission all year round
Required level: For any level
No age restrictions

- Russian-speaking

What you will learn on the course:
- Painting. The focus is on method: how to organise your process from start to finish. You will learn the stages of execution and practise each step through carefully chosen references, selected from outstanding academic works and master paintings. Pictorial problems are solved through close observation and the search for convincing colour harmony.
- Drawing. We aim to master the stages of drawing, to learn how to set clear tasks at each stage, and to be able to analyze complex forms by reducing them to simple structures without losing sight of drawing aesthetics, which is also an important part of the course.
- Anatomy. Analysis, reference books and anatomical sketches are the foundation of this program. But! At the same time, the course uses an unconventional approach: instead of dry memorisation, we study the body as a plastic form, its peculiar structure, rhythm, and shape, through a relaxed, practical way of learning that helps the knowledge stay with you.
What awaits you on the course:
- International teaching staff with both classical academic and contemporary artistic backgrounds.
- Both individual and group sessions await you, where students discuss their work, ideas and receive constructive feedback.
- Critical reviews and presentations.
- Recommended reading: books and websites available to learners from which they can choose which are most developmentally appropriate.
- Independent learning and homework: outside of the classroom, you will develop your skills.
- Module feedback: in addition to the feedback you receive throughout each module of study, at the end of each module you will participate in a review of your work, which helps you move to the next level of mastery.
- Filling your portfolio with work of the highest calibre.
- Compositional work on sketches of paintings with detailed plastic analyses from experienced teachers.
